Water Quality Analysis & Environmental Monitoring
Overview
Conducted water quality assessment by collecting groundwater samples and analyzing key physical and chemical parameters, including Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), pH, temperature, and turbidity. Performed laboratory measurements, data recording, result interpretation, and comparison with environmental quality standards.
The Challenge
Groundwater quality is influenced by multiple physical and chemical parameters. Accurate sample collection, instrument operation, and data interpretation were required to evaluate overall water quality and identify potential environmental concerns.
The Solution
Collected water samples following laboratory instructions, measured DO, TSS, pH, temperature, and turbidity using appropriate laboratory instruments, documented analytical results, and evaluated water quality based on established environmental standards.
Results
Measured Dissolved Oxygen (DO) of well water at 4.75 mg/L, indicating dissolved oxygen below the recommended value for Class I water quality.
Calculated Total Suspended Solids (TSS) at 100 mg/L using the gravimetric method, meeting the reference range for raw drinking water.
Recorded water temperature of 30°C, indicating a relatively high temperature compared to the normal groundwater range.
Measured turbidity at 33 NTU, exceeding the Indonesian drinking water turbidity standard (25 NTU).
Determined water pH of 7, indicating neutral groundwater conditions.
Documented and interpreted laboratory findings by comparing measured values with environmental quality standards.
